			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many questions arise when we are face with delayed planting situations. The following tables  provided by the University of Minnesota Extension Service addresses the recommendations for planting &#8221;earlier&#8221; corn and soybean varieties.</p>
<p>For the most part, I agree with these tables.  Just remember that this is a recommendation for &#8220;full season&#8221; hybrids.  I typically think of full season hybrids with a R.M. of 104-107 day.  In soybeans, full season is between 2.3-2.4 R.M. </p>
<p>Like every other year, we are bound to average out our rainfall and heat units.  Please don&#8217;t forget the basics of planting and do the best job you can with what we&#8217;re delt with.</p>
